One of our sources is the Sekem Initiative, a Biodynamic® and organic farm that was founded in 1977 northeast of Cairo. The Sekem Initiative has decided to invest its Fair Trade premium in scholarship funds and literacy programs for all ages, and Sekem producers have decided to invest in better housing, sanitation and healthcare facilities, and safe, reliable transportation.
